Top 6 Stylish Male Celebrities: What You can Learn

Whether you consider yourself at one with the celeb world, or couldn’t care less, following what these public figures wear can be a great source for style inspiration.

The guys included on this list aren’t just the most stylish male celebrities out there, they are people I feel actually care about what they wear. As opposed to just outsource all the work to a stylist.

Some of you are probably asking “well why should I care?” Here’s why:

  1. They have stylists and you (probably) don’t
  2. They are more likely to step out of their comfort zone. You can see what works and what doesn’t
  3. It’s easy to find a celeb with a style you dig and then conform it to your personal taste

Those are just some of the reasons, but I think you get the picture.

I can personally credit a handful of celebs, some of whom are on this list, as the sources of inspiration upon which I developed my own style.

I’m not saying you need to follow their every move on TMZ. But take some time to Google them occasionally, see what they’re wearing, and what works and what doesn’t.

Ok ok, enough rambling. Here are the 6 most stylish male celebrities and what you can learn from them.

The 6 Most Stylish Male Celebrities

1. Justin Theroux

Justin Theroux Style

Justin is a great example of a guy who’s outfits speak for themselves. What I mean by that is, his outfits scream stylish biker guy.

However, what works for him most certainly wouldn’t work for everybody. The main reason being…he actually is a biker. Not only are his outfits well put together, but they serve a purpose. It’s that functionality that gives his outfits that edge without looking like a costume.

While Justin’s outfits are monochromatic and fairly drab, the slim fit along with small personal touches like his sideways gucci belt set him apart.

What to take away:

  • If there’s a particular look you like go for it, but do so tastefully
  • Find a few signature pieces and stick with them
  • Don’t be afraid to challenge and few style rules here and there

2. David Beckham

David Beckham Style

David Beckham is yet another celeb who I can credit in my style figurative bibliography. While he certainly wasn’t always spot on with his style, Beckham’s more recent style successes wash the past away.

Beckham does what most don’t even attempt and that is to mix different styles together. He expertly melds elements of streetwear, workwear and high end menswear into a look all his own.

He’s just as likely to be seen wearing a well-worn pair of boots and jeans as he is with a tailored peacoat and slacks.

What to take away:

  • Don’t be afraid to mix and match different styles
  • Comfort and style are the name of the game

3. Harry Styles

Harry Styles Fashion

This ex boyband singer really knows how to pull off looks that to some may be a bit too daring. His mainstay is a tight pair of black jeans a flowy button-down shirt capped off with a worn-in pair of chelsea boots.

While most won’t be able to pull off Harry’s signature streamlined rocker outfits, bits and pieces can be adapted to any wardrobe.

Harry’s style is a shining example of a look that can truly be taken from the day all the way to an expensive dinner at night.

What to take away:

  • A versatile outfit is key
  • Incorporate statement pieces, but mute down the rest of the outfit

4. A$AP Rocky

A$AP Rocky Fashion

A$AP is much more than just a rapper, he’s quickly became a true trendsetter in the world of menswear. He’s not afraid to try out trendier pieces and on the same hand plays around with how different pieces can be worn.

Example being the t-shirt tuck he propelled back into the spotlight.

He also experiments with different types of fits. One day he’ll be wearing skin tight black jeans and the next it’s a cropped pair of trousers.

He makes high fashion look good and shows how to incorporate looks fresh off the runway.

What to take away:

  • You can adapt high end runway pieces to everyday wear
  • With a few modifications, you can give your  streetwear look a sophisticated edge

5. Connor Mcgregor

Conor Mcgregor Style

This guy is a serious boss both in and out of the ring, and dresses like one too. Not much more to say than that. Ok maybe a little more.

Mcgregor is a prime example of someone who uses a tailor extremely well. With a combo of this and custom shirting and suiting, Mcgregor is able to attain a flawless aesthetic you just can’t get with off the rack clothing.

His incorporation of bold patterns also makes him stand out from others. He also isn’t afraid of colors at all.

However, you won’t see him looking like a painter threw up on him, rather he color blocks matching colors to perfection.

What to take away:

  • Your tailor is your friend
  • Experiment with blocking your outfit with more daring colors

6. Zac Efron

Zac Efron Style

Ask anyone that knows me well and they will confirm my obsession with Mr. Efron’s style. There’s a casual yet put-together vibe that runs current through most of his fits.

He’s never trying too hard yet always looks well put together.

He knows his body type and makes sure his outfits are flattering. In other words instead of hopping on the bandwagon of certain trends, he tends to stick with a select few pieces that work the best for him.

If you spend a short time looking through some of Zac’s style pics, you’ll be sure to realize he is loyal to a few brands. He knows what he likes and also what each designer can contribute to his overall look.

 What to take away:

  • Learn what you look best in and make most of your wardrobe consist of those pieces.
  • Find what brands you love and stick with them.
  • Don’t feel like you need to overdo everything, it’s possible to make a t-shirt and jeans look great.

Conclusion:

From laid back casual to smart sartorial, the celebs I included on this list embody all the good things men’s fashion is about.

While I do consider these guys some of the most stylish male celebrities out there, I realize this list isn’t the end all be all. Go out and find a public figure who not only has similar measurements to you but also who you agree with stylistically. Use that person as a blueprint, a jumping off point into exploring and expanding on your own style and wardrobe.
